The CluedUp team comes from many diverse backgrounds including event management, performing arts, training, development and education.

Here is an overview of some of our team.

Nic Preddle

Director

Nic combines solid experience in event management, facilitation and training with a flair for the performing arts. Prior to establishing CluedUp, Nic practiced law. He developed his passion for the performing arts as a member of Wellington Playback Theatre for four years. Nic's enthusiasm and spontaneity draws teams together and ensures everyone has a great time.

Hayden Bell

For a (reasonably) young fella, Hayden brings a great deal of experience to CluedUp. His marketing degree alongside many months of coaching / training high performance snowboard teams in Aspen, Colorado are a great foundation for work at CluedUp. When not creating and delivering CluedUp events, its likely Hayden will be surfing or driving to go surfing...unless its winter and then he will be snowboarding or driving to go snowboarding!

Jeremy Nelson

Jeremy is a trained actor who studied at the EIT in the Hawkes Bay and completed his LTCL Performers Diploma. He specialises in improvisational theatre and is the Artistic Director for Wellington Playback Theatre. An excellent facilitator, Jeremy is our 'go to guy' for the delivery of our 'Energisers and Icebreakers'. Jeremy has travelled widely and has many years experience working in the insurance industry and other corporate areas.

Giles McNeill

Giles' experience in film and multimedia are utilised in our events The Directors Cut and Breaking News. He is often behind the camera recording events or in the studio editing video, sound effects and music. When we need specialised props, that’s a job for Giles. He is also an accomplished musician, a remote controlled car expert and a seasoned actor, often performing in our murder mystery events.

Simon Smith

Raised in Taranaki, Simon came to Wellington in 1998 and successfully completed his actor training at the Wellington Performing Arts School. He specialises in improvised theatre, character work and impersonisations - his 'Eminem' impersonation is incredible! As well as his acting, Simon is an accomplished script writer. His most recent success being script writer for the winning team in the Wellington 48 hour film festival.

Liz Kirkman

Liz finished Uni with a BA (Hons) in Theatre and freelances as an actress from theatre for children to feature films and can be found teaching pilates, physical theatre and singing. She's worked with CluedUp since 2007 as a murderess, a remote control race car technician, an event organiser and doesn't mind being the one left to sort the storeroom!

Paul Stephanus

If you want to meet a person with exceptional skills in the outdoors and at the same time, an accomplished actor, writer and musician then Paul is your man. Born and raised in the USA, Paul holds many outdoor qualifications as well as a BA (Theatre) and a Postgrad Diploma in English. Talented huh. Paul fronts many of our teambuilding events where his passion for acting and teamwork really shines.

Fergus Aitken

Fergus brings plenty of energy and creativity to match his extensive experience. Having performed visual and verbal comedy and theatre in over a dozen countries worldwide since 1984, Fergus has a broad skill base perfect for corporate events of all kinds. Fergus has created and played numerous characters from villians to royalty and as an accomplished MC he brings solid talent as a presenter for special occasions, from circus showcases to product launches.
